About the marketplace
Alaska Event Services will be handling the set up of the Marketplace. If you have any special needs for your display, please call Michelle Jesperson at 263-9827.
You must register prior to set-up. Vendor set-up will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12th, in the Howard Rock Ballroom, the Susitna Room, the Ballroom entry, and the Atrium; the Marketplace will open at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13th. Please check with the Registration Desk for your space number.
Vendor Introductions will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13th
If you do not plan on manning your booth the ENTIRE time, please let us know as your attendance is dependent on our Bingo game and getting our participants to your booth.
Guardian Security has been hired to patrol the Marketplace from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If you do not feel comfortable leaving your display items, TAKE THEM WITH YOU.
Each participant will receive a canvas bag to carry his or her conference materials. If you would like to contribute a small promotional item, such as a key chain, pen, magnet, etc., please give me a call or deliver them to our office, located at 1577 C Street, Suite 304, no later than 5pm on Thursday, February 8th, 2018.
If you would like to contribute a door prize, contact me right away. Drawings will be held throughout the conference. Door prizes will be picked up during the conference or you can leave them at the Registration Desk. If you are conducting an “in-booth” drawing, I would be happy to announce your winner.
The Sheraton Hotel has offered a room rate of $106.00 per night single/double for conference vendors and participants. Please make sure you mention you are part of the Rural Small Business Conference when making your room reservation.
Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. there will be a Rural Urban Networking Breakfast. The cost of the breakfast is included with your Marketplace Registration.
Rules and Regulations
Exhibitors must undertake the following guidelines. These guidelines were developed for the benefit of the exhibitors and patrons alike. They incorporate both Alaska Village Initiatives and the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel rules. Please read carefully:
Exhibitors are determined by Alaska Village Initiatives planning committee.
Displays are limited to the 6 ft. table top or 8 ft. by 10 ft. booth. Please stay within your space unless you have made prior arrangements. If you need more than one booth or table space please let us know ASAP.
Conform to the rules and regulations set by the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel.
Handouts must be esthetically presented and kept neat at all times
Any expenses incurred by Alaska Village Initiatives as a result of an exhibit will be charged to the exhibitor.
Set-up and disassembly is the exhibitor’s responsibility. Set-up and vendor registration is Monday, February 12, 2018 at 3 -5pm.
The exhibitor shall indemnify, defend, save and hold harmless from any claim, lawsuit or liability, including costs and attorney’s fees allegedly arising from loss or stolen items, damage or injury to persons or property occurring in the course of the space rental during the Rural Small Business Conference, February 13, 14, and 15, 2018.
Exhibitors agree that the exhibit will be staffed at all times and that the handouts and/or materials do not exceed rental space area such as aisles or any other areas likely to interfere with traffic flow. The Market Place will be closed to all during General Gatherings to keep the noise to a minimum.
Exhibitors understand/accepts that Alaska Village Initiatives has discretion in deciding all conditions of space rental.
Notify Alaska Village Initiatives immediately if for any reason you are not able to exhibit by contacting Michelle Jesperson at (907) 263-9827 no later than January 31, 2018.
